Meet the Artist

Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina

I’m a self-taught sculptor. Since 2010 I’ve carved into the graphite core of ordinary pencils — by hand, under magnification, at a scale of a few millimetres. Over time the pencil became less a tool than a medium of its own. What interests me isn’t smallness for its own sake, but whether the sculpture still holds at that scale — whether a face keeps its expression.

It’s a privilege to work with Mercedes-Benz on the new S-Class — the three-pointed star, hand-carved at the tip of a pencil, where their pursuit of craft meets mine.

Miniature hearing aids carved on pencil tips for Audio Service Atelier
Audio Service · Atelier

Their Atelier line is built on precision, by hand, in Germany — so I carved their hearing aids at the tip of a pencil. One craft mirroring another.
