My name is Jasenko Đorđević and I am an artist from Bosnia. I make sculptures from the pencil lead.
Ever since my early days I started showing affection to artistic expression, especially in the area of miniatures. I would sit for hours and make little books whose pages were no larger than a few millimeters (0,1 inches). Every time I tried to push my limits and make the smallest possible work
Since January 2010 I make sculptures on pencil lead. At the very beginning the sculptures were not perfect. As time went by, I got a lot of experience. I did some research and experimented with different types of pencils until I learned which types of pencils I can use to make sculptures.
Until now I’ve made more than 300 pencil sculptures, I have six solo exhibitions and participated in dozen exhibitions in my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina), as well as abroad (Norway, Germany and United Kingdom). My work can also be seen in Cumberland Pencil Museum (UK) where it is a permanent exhibition.
At the end of year 2013, I won two awards (the award for sculpture and Grand Prix) at the international miniature exhibition called “7th biennale of miniature art BiH”.
